You heard wrong! We are closing our Magnolia location. We’ve moved a number of times over our quarter-century history; this is just the latest.
Q: BUT WHY? FOR GOD’S SAKE, WHY?
Our lease is up and the new rent is, shall we say, prohibitive.
Q: WHERE ARE YOU GOING?
For the moment we’re moving stuff to our Pasadena-area office space and warehouse (picture RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK).
Q: CAN I COME VISIT THE WAREHOUSE?
Give us a little time! We need to get stuff organized and do some inventory.
Q: SO NO MORE ART SHOWS? SIGNINGS? SCREENINGS? BOOKS?

Q: WHERE?
We’ve done events at the Arclight Hollywood, El Capitan, Vista Theater, the Disney Studio lot, Pasadena Heritage Museum, Mountain View Mausoleum, Rick Baker’s Make-Up FX shop, and many more. We have a whole slew of exciting events lined up, including several with our good friends at Blast From The Past and Bearded Lady’s Mystic Museum in order to maintain our presence on Magnolia. We’re also cooking up some monumental surprises to celebrate our 25th anniversary later this year, so stay tuned.
Q: HOW DO I FIND OUT ABOUT ALL THIS STUFF?
Our weekly e-mail newsletter is the most reliable method (check your spam/promotions folder if you think you should be getting it and aren’t, or drop us an e-mail). We also recommend Instagram and Facebook.
Q: WHEN’S YOUR LAST DAY?
Tentatively Wednesday, April 4th. We may be open Monday and Tuesday of that week as well – call for updated hours.
Q: ARE YOU GONNA LIQUIDATE? WHEN SHOULD I COME FOR 90% OFF?
We’re not going to liquidate, but we’re offering 30% off almost everything until we close. Just to be nice.
