Miles Teves was born and raised in Salinas California in the heart of Steinbeck country in 1963, one month before JFK was murdered. There he endlessly drew, painted, sculpted, built models and blew them up with firecrackers, tortured his kid sister, made elaborate stop-motion movies with a cheap super 8 camera, watched horror and science fiction films on late night television while dreaming of growing up and moving to Los Angeles, where real movie magic was made.
As soon as possible he got the hell out of Salinas, moved down to La La land, went to art school, dropped out, and got a job working as a designer for a special effects makeup studio in 1984. He has been steadily working in and around the Hollywood entertainment industry as an illustrator, concept artist, storyboard artist, and sculptor, while creating an occasional piece of fine art on the side.
His list of film credits include ‘Legend’, ‘Robocop’, ‘Total Recall’ ‘Interview with the Vampire’, ‘Batman Forever’, ‘Amistad’, ‘Stuart Little’, ‘The Mummy’, ‘Galaxy Quest’, ‘Spiderman’, ‘Reign of Fire’, ‘Men in Black’, ‘Terminator 3’, ‘Van Helsing’, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, ‘The Passion of the Christ’, ‘Chronicles of Riddick’. ‘King Kong’, ‘Ghost Rider’, ‘Iron Man’, and currently ‘Indiana Jones.’
